La Palmeraie is situated in the middle of Cepie, a small quiet medieval village between Carcassonne and Limoux in the "Département Aude". Aude is called "The little France" due to the different landscapes going from the Mediterranean coast to the ski resorts of the Pyrenees Mountain. It is only 80 km from the house to the beaches nearby Narbonne and about half an hour with car to the Pyrenees. The house is ideal for those who wish to tour the area and enjoy the beautiful landscape and the many medieval villages and sites with Cathar castles, abbeys and wine yards. Cepie has a bakery and post office and wine, fruit and vegetables can be bought from local farmers in the village. In Limoux you will find all essential shops and a variety of bars and restaurants.
