Surroundings and Local Facilities

The faubourg quartier of Béziers is just a short walk from the house across a narrow ford (bread, newspapers-cigarette-bar) and bank. The beaches: Vendres, Sérignan and Varlras-plage are 12 km away or 15 minutes drive. The swimming pool is 64 m2 and faces southwest for a maximum of sun. The house has eastern exposure, so you can have breakfast in the sun, lunch in the sun or in the shade as you like and in the evening you can treat yourself to a candle-light diner in the garden (night lighting available). In addition to the beaches and swimming pool, you can bathe and canoe on the river Orb at the picturesque village of Roquebrun (30km). Farther the fortified medieval city of Carcassonne (Carcassonne Airport is at 90 km), the Black Mountain and its lake of Salvetat, the Canal du Midi, the city of Montpellier. Accomodation includes 4 bedrooms (at 1st floor): 2 bedrooms with double beds (opening the balcony overlooking terrace garden), one bedroom with 2 single beds, the fourth with one double bed and 2 single beds (overlooking farmland). There are also 2 cots and you can ask for one bedroom more on the ground floor. Spacious kitchen overlooks and opens to the 7 X 14 m terrace garden as does living room.
